Making Our Marriage Work With Busy Lives

We roll out of bed at 5am most days, then return to those cozy sheets around 10pm for a few quick hours before we start it all over again. We do our best to start the day with prayer and some Bible time but I would be lying if I told you that is the routine. We want it to be, but four unpredictable small children along with two energetic dogs have a knack for creating emergencies that interrupt or derail those intentions completely. Then there is homeschooling, cooking and cleaning, playdates, errands, designing fitness wear and other BlessedBodywear.com duties, and countless other family related tasks that Ana manages to get done in a day. If I am not welded to the computer I am off workout outside of the house building a brand new business and tending to my share of the BlessedBodywear.com responsibilities. We do our best to get at least one meal together as a family per day, and I try to shut it down and spend some time with the family each day, but again, I would be lying if I told you I succeed.

Busy is a common problem for many people and its a big problem for us. If we are not careful our conversations are only about kids and work. The time we get together as husband and wife often comes at the end of a long and exhausting day when we have little or nothing left in the tank.

We talked about it, and we both wanted to do better so we came up with some solutions that worked for us so we wanted to share that in hopes it will help someone else in the same boat. Never give up on love and never let it grow cold. It needs attention, nurturing, and it needs your time.
