When you listen and give your heart and life to Him, God speaks to you. Not out loud, like my kids do when I am trying to talk on the phone, it’s something more subtle. But when you know God, you come to know His voice. Ana and I have had a small business selling women’s fitness wear online since we met. When COVID hit, and the West Coast of the USA shut down for over a year, we lost almost everything. It’s taken five years to rebuild, or at least get back to zero.
Those less familiar with how God works may wonder why a good and loving Heavenly Father would put us through all that and not just drop a big fat bag of money at our door so we never had to feel any pain.
Five years ago, we moved to Florida. Right away, we found a church, and this big South African Pastor with a funny accent who did things with the Word of God that ripped the heart from my chest, threw me onto my knees, and left me with an insatiable desire to seek Jesus Christ and walk in His light.
Four years ago, I started this thing, and in June, I will walk across the stage, shake that pastor’s hand, and I will walk off that stage with a piece of paper under my arm that was responsible for a complete and radical change in my life. Everything I do now is for God, and Ana is welded to my side, in perfect step, serving the Lord in whatever way he directs us to serve Him.
A little more than a month ago, God spoke to me. He spoke to Ana, too. He opened all of the doors that needed to be opened, and today, we launched a new website.
It’s a humble yet beautiful beginning. It will grow and evolve, as the Lord directs our path, just as He promises to do, provided we get out of the way and listen to him.
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.
Psalms 37:33 NKJV
A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.
Proverbs 16:9 NKJV
And if you are still reading this, thank you. You have probably been here through the hard times and the good. I pray you know the Lord and all He promises for you when you give your life to Him. If not, I would love to hear from you and I will do my best to answer any of your questions.
God Bless and Thank you
Terry
