His Grace Is His Gift To You

Men, some of you are still carrying a ledger God already tore up. You know the number — the failure you can’t outrun, the sin you think disqualifies you from being the husband, father, or protector God called you to be. Here’s the truth that ledger can’t hold: no matter what you’ve done, no matter how bad you think you’ve been, when you give your life to Christ, He forgives you completely. Not partially. Not on probation. Completely.

That forgiveness isn’t cheap, and it isn’t earned. Grace is a gift received through faith, not a reward for good behavior (Ephesians 2:8-9). Every man falls short of God’s standard — every one of us — yet we’re justified freely by His grace through Christ’s redemption (Romans 3:23-24). His blood on that cross wasn’t a gesture. It was the payment. Where sin multiplied in your life, grace abounded even more (Romans 5:20-21). Grace and works don’t mix — if it’s earned, it isn’t grace (Romans 11:6). He was rich, yet became poor, so that through His poverty you could be made rich (2 Corinthians 8:9).

This is why Romans 8:1 can say there is no condemnation for men in Christ Jesus. Confess it, and He is faithful to forgive and cleanse you from all of it (1 John 1:9). As far as the east is from the west, that’s how far He’s removed your sin from you (Psalm 103:12). Stop carrying what He already nailed to the cross.

So today, stop rehearsing the debt. Walk boldly to the throne of grace — you’ll find mercy there, and help for exactly what you’re facing (Hebrews 4:16). You’re not the man your worst day says you are. You’re the man His blood paid for.
