A few days ago, I walked across the stage at our church in a graduation gown and hat to the cheers and applause of my family and friends. I shook the hands of five men who have had a hand, over the past four years, in ensuring that moment would come to pass. Two weeks shy of my sixty-seventh birthday, and ONLY by the grace of God, I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry.
I accomplished a degree, late in life, which was contrary to everything I had ever been told by teachers, family, “friends”, and others touting conventional wisdom, since high school. But everything changed five years ago when we moved to Florida, found Oceans Unite Christian Center, Pastor Alex Pappas, his wife, and staff, and began my journey toward all that is possible when we surrender it all to Jesus Christ and choose to walk with God.
That lifetime of lies I had been told by people that mattered to me created a spriritual stronghold because I chose to believe them. In this episode Ana and I talk about how that stronghold, and many more, were broken.
