My friend Randal is a captain with Jet Blue and we were both in San Diego for the day so we met up and toured the USS Midway, an aircraft carrier from the Vietnam war era that is now serving as a museum. This episode is dedicated to all who are serving and have served our country in the US Armed Forces.

When Bella’s sister died she stopped eating, dri

When Bella’s sister died she stopped eating, drinking and would t get off the bed. She was so sad, so depressed, and she had lost her will to live.

We prayed about it and God led us to this amazing puppy we named Sophie. Sophie was in Idaho, the last puppy of a litter and nobody else wanted her. We found her through a random set of circumstances only God could have engineered.

Sophie joined our family and Bella had a purpose. She started to teach Sophie manners, potty trained her, taught her how to be part of the family. The part we can’t explain is Sophie’s mannerisms, personality, her habits and even how she moves is a carbon copy of how Ellie did those same things. Even the random way Ellie would lay on Bella like Sophie is doing in this picture here.
We thank God for this puppy every day. She was the last dog in the litter, the one nobody else chose but it wasn’t because she wasn’t wanted or not good enough, it was because God was saving her for the family that needed her the most.

Every Saturday we pile into our minivan and find a different ice cream place to see who makes the very best ice cream. So far the hands down winner is La Natural in Port St Lucie.

My son is at that age where no amount of time together is enough for him. Now that I've said that out loud, I realize I am at that exact same age too.

We went fishing for the first time a few days ago. And I wrote a little story.
